Another Post
Two weeks ago we were assigned to do a project using tools in Inspiration, and Microsoft Word. I really didn't know how to use Inspiration, but I was pretty familiar with Word. We went over both in class so that we would be able to do our projects. It took a little bit to get used to, but I think Inspiration is a great tool to use for a classroom. Especially to be able to create these graphic organizer things that we were supposed to do. Mine is probably terrible compared to everyone else's but I am still learning how to use it so. Another thing we did in class this past week was check out different websites that would help us as we venture into our careers as teachers. Luckily, we have a lot of Elementary ed. majors who know all the popular lesson plans websites. They definitely saved me when I had to find web sites that integrated technology with my subject area, so Thanks to all you El. Ed's in the class for the help, I appreciate it.

Inspiration is a pretty user friendly program although really wished I had known about it long before I had taken this class- it would have helped with a lot of my methods classes. Even though I am an elem. ed. major, I had NO CLUE what half of the websites were that we looked at in class-I usually just Google the topic. The websites that I knew about combined with the ones we went over in class will really make life easier when we get out into the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI definately agree that Inspiration is a useful tool. Not only is it handy for students as a graphic organizer, it is also useful for teachers to plan ahead and organize their own lesson/unit plans. I think in the future I will be using programs like Inspiration a lot more often. By the way I don't think your concept map was any worse than mine(minimalists live longer). Also, good point on thanking the El. Ed. majors, those websites they shared with us are invaluable.
